Piano lessons for children in NW London

Hello, my name is Aly, a piano teacher based in St. John's Wood, London.
I specialise in beginner's piano lessons for children, in the comfort of your own home. I can come to your home, or teach your child via Zoom at a time that works for them.
I have been playing the piano since I was a child, practising on an old 1970s purple upright piano. I love the piano; it is one of the most beautiful instruments to listen to.
As a child, I remember being terrified of the pressure of exams, strict tutors, and endless theory. When I became a piano tutor, I found that kids respond much better if it is relaxed, friendly, and FUN!
So, there's no pressure to study for piano exams, and every child learns at their own pace. Some kids learn faster than others - I would rather they love playing, and continue to love it, than be stressed about a certificate.
Through a mix of practical and theory lessons (and sometimes musical games), your child will soon learn to read piano music, understand the different keys and notes, and will quickly be practising their scales. We'll move on to simple tunes, beautiful classics and jazz pieces, and sometimes pop songs and show-tunes.
Along the way, you'll get regular progress updates on their piano lessons, and suggestions on what they can practice in their spare time.
Kids can learn at any age, but from about age 7 upwards is ideal.
Children really enjoy my lessons, and eagerly look forward to them each week - if you've ever experienced other piano teachers, you'll see why kids prefer my methods.
