Hello, my name is Aly, and I am a piano tutor based near Queens Park London NW6 and W9.

 

I offer beginners piano lessons to children in all parts of Queens Park and surrounding areas. 

Piano lessons can be for individual kids, or two children can share a lesson (great for siblings).

A little bit about me:

I have been playing piano since I was a kid, practicing on an old 1970's purple upright piano. I love the piano; it is one of the most beautiful instruments to play.

 

As a child, I remember being terrified of the pressure of exams, strict tutors, and endless theory. When I became a piano teacher, I found that kids respond much quicker if it is FUN!

 

So, there's no pressure to study for piano exams, and every child learns at their own pace. Some kids learn faster than others, and in group lessons they'll be matched with another child or their sibling/friend, and can enjoy learning together.

 

Your child will learn to read piano music, understand the different keys and notes, and will be quickly practicing their scales. We'll move on to simple tunes, carols and rhymes, and then start on some pop songs and show-tunes. 

 

Along the way you'll get regular progress updates on their piano lessons, and the opportunity during the year to hear your child perform in a local venue.

 

You can learn piano at any age, but from about school-year 3 upwards is ideal.

Queens Park piano lessons are usually in your own home, but can also be on my piano (or I can bring a digital piano to your home!)
